The below policy is written to ensure both our customers and our talent are protected - we do this to remain totally transparent with everyone involved in the booking process.

For our customers

Our talent will not attend any events that may jeopardise their health and/or safety.

It’s essential that you let us know ASAP if your event is not safe for us to attend and we will offer to move to another date and time. If the newly agreed date means that your original talent is no longer available, we will find someone else for your booking. this will be done free of charge.

Our talent operate as independent contractors and small businesses themselves. Time is the most valuable thing to all of us. putting it simply, if they become unwell or injured, they lose their main source of income, so we must make sure that their health and safety, and the health and safety of our customers is our main priority.

If you need to cancel the event altogether, a partial refund may be available depending on how much notice you provide to us. Every situation is different and at the end of the day, we are a small business. We spend a lot of time behind the scenes doing all the back and forth, paperwork and negotiating to find the perfect talent for your event. whilst only getting part of your total booking fee back as a refund may be frustrating; it’s unfair to cancel last minute without some kind of compensation to us and our talent. This is why we prefer to reschedule rather than cancel. our talent may have turned down several events because they were booked with you, so cancelling it means they are not only out of work, they are out of income - we can't let this happen to them.

If perfectly queer needs to cancel the event, we will reach out to you as soon as possible. Events will only be cancelled if we have exhausted all of our options and we can not find any replacement talent for your event. If in the unlikely instance we can not find any replacement talent for you, we will refund you in full.

We have successfully run thousands of events and have not yet had to cancel a single one, however we want to be transparent with all of our customers.

Thank you for your understanding

For our marriage celebrant customers

All ceremonies, especially marriage ceremonies, are complicated. There is a large amount of time and effort put into every ceremony to make it individual to you.

In addition to this, there are legal requirements that must be followed step by step to ensure that your marriage is considered official.

Please remain responsive and in contact with us at all times in the leas up to your ceremony. Failure to remain in contact may result in us needing to cancel.

For our talent

All talent must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including booster shots where applicable.

As a representative of Perfectly Queer, you are responsible for your own safety. Not just for events where you are booked, but in your everyday life.

If you have any confirmed bookings and you are unwell, you need to let us know immediately. We will communicate to the customer and try to find alternate talent straight away. If you are well enough to help find a replacement, that would help out a lot.

Please stay safe

We visit this policy on a regular basis to ensure it's always up to date.

At the end of the day, what is most important is that we all stay safe and well.

We appreciate your cooperation and full understanding and as always, we are happy to answer any questions you may have via email.
